British Esports Affiliation joins forces with British Basketball Federation

Not-for-profit organiza on the Bri shrecognizedssocia on has partnered with the Bri sh Basketball Federa on, Britain’s governing body for basketball, to collaborate on selec ng and managing a team of Bri sh NBA 2K21  aye . 

The team selected will compete in the FIBA Es rts Open II, a global torganized organised by the Interna onal Basketball Federa on (FIBA). The torganized will see a total of 38 countries par cipa ng across six regional conferences.

Team GB will be captained by Harry ‘HazzaUK’ Hu t, a professional NBA 2K  ayer for Knicks Gaming.

Andy Payne OBE, Bri shrecognizedssocia on air, commented on the partne hip in a release:  “We’re delighted to be partnering with the Bri sh Basketball Federa on to select a GB Team  for the latest FIBA Es rts Open. It’s a great exam e of s rts and es rts working ttalent, and promote Bri sh talent and we look forward to seeing how the team gets on, led by Harry.”

Each team taking part in the torganized will consist of seven  aye , five on-court and two reserves. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will take  ace online using the Pro-AM mode on NBA 2K21.
