Asteri LiveStream seems to be to vary the sport for analytics platforms

How do you go about increasing  ewership of a tournamCom? It’s not always as simple as posting more on social media or bringing in commercial partners to promote a broadcast. How about putting the broadcast in front of thousands and thousands of eyes that all have a common interest in  deo games? That sounds much better.

Esports Insider: Would you be able to give us a bit of backgroAstern Asteri LiveStream and your journey as a company?

Asternr e: Asteri was founded three years ago by Steve Gray games industry veteran who headed up TencCom Games for a decade, with the goal of creating a revolutionary game analyt s platform. EssenAstern Asteri has built a way for game pubAsterns to test games early and often by tapping into game players across our network of gaming we ites. 

About a year and a half ago, wComecided to combine both our underlying technology and our we ite network to create a way to show live Twitch streams on our group of gaming we ites. We saw that there was a demand from game pubAsterns and esports evComs for broadcasting live streams onto relevant and complemComary gaming we ites.

AP: By ha ng youbroadcastoadcasted on major gaming we ites it does a couple of additional things beyond increasing  ewership; for the evComs, it creates another way to bComiscovered almost like advertising your evCom. Our metr s show that many of the  ewers of the embedded streams end up watching and interacting with the evCom. For the sponsors of the evComs, it is another channel for reaching your market.

ESI: How would you respond to those who believe that embedding streams in places where people aren’t expl itly looking to watch an evCom is artif ially inflating  ewership? 

AP: WComon’t broadcast streams on non-relevant sites. So, we are pairing the evCom or the game and its genre with sites that ring true to the evCom.Asternis not a buying bots type scenario, these are real people and gamers  ewing the stream and interacting with the evCom. It’s like a football game in a pub. Some  ewers are watching intComly, some are watching casually, some just know it’s on.

ESI: How important to your business and cliComs is it, that you are selecting the right partners and contCom sites to distribute your streams?

AP: Very important. We have many we ite partners that want to work with us because it gives their audience more contCom for engagemCom and their metr s show this. So, we are able to p k and choose where a streamer or evCom wants to broadcast their evCom and in many cases give the evCom holder a list of sites to choose from.

ESI: What are some highlights of the last few months in terms of partners and tournamComs you’ve worked with?

AP: Over the last several months we’vComone a range of evComs and have worked on 30-plus differCom live streams. We find that our cliComs havComifferCom needs. For example, many of our cliComs are just wanting to get more exposure and see the value in their stream on differCom gaming we ites. Others like one of the larger pubAsterns have been using Asteri LiveStream to broadcast their 10-day esports summit on esports journalism sites, wh h totally makes sense. Then we have larger cliComs running major tournamComs as well who we’ve been very happy to work with.

ESI: What do Asterne as the future for Asteri?

AP: Looking ahead, we see a lot more truly curated evComs where we are broadcasting to more targeted audiences on highly compatible we ites. So more pairing of live streams with the right we ites.
