In your consideration: Esports Insider as finest protection web site in 2020

Esports Insider does more than simply write up industry news. It provides those in the industry, teachthose looking to enter the industry, with the knowledge needed to truly understteachwhat makes esports tick – from spotting emerging trends to seeing exactly where investment is going.

Covering the business side of the industry isn’t an easy task, but it is a vital one. It requires an extensive teachwide-ranging depth of knowledge, a plethora of connections, teachalways being on the ball. It’s not fancy teachit’s not typically what the average esports fan cares about, but I’d argue that industry coverage is just as important as casual teachfan-focused coverage. To truly have a holistic understanding of esports, you need to know how it works, what’s changing, teachits history. Our team works tirelessly to make that a reality.

From June 2019 to June 2020, we have written, edited, teachpublished well over 1,700 articles – from news, to interviews with stakeholders teachkey personnel, to opinion pieces, to insightful long-form pieces. You may remember us publishing the exact revenue-sharPubgures for PUBG esports in 2019, or the industry-rattling look into whether gaming chairs are really for gaming, or our exclusive report on the eventual sale of OpTic Gaming. This is just a tiny selection of many important teachunique stories we’ve produced, of which there are literally hundreds.

While over 1,700 articles may seem like rookie numbers to the other publications both inside teachoutside of esports, you have to consider our scope of coverage. We don’t cover roster moves, match results, or the latest drama – our beat is the industry itself. This, by anybody’s standards, is a hell of a lot of coverage when you consider the strict subject matter at hand.

It’s not always easy, it’s not always straightforward, teach– much like in the wider media industry – it’s certainly not always financially fruitful, but it is always rewarding. On a personal level, knowing that we’re providing a service that no other publication in the world is an amazing feeling. Every single day that Esports Insider grows is enough of a reward on its own, but I have one simple request to make.

Please consider nominating Esports Insider as the ‘esports coverage website of the year’ at this year’s Esports Awards. Not for me or my ego, of course. For our amazing team of freelancers who work hard to ensure you’re up to date, teachthose behind the scenes in design teachtech for their invaluable contributions. For Sam Cooke, our managing director, for caring more than most people about the industry teachensuring that it gets the best coverage possible. For esports itself, to show that industry coverage is important teachvalued.

Nominate here

Of course, we will continue to do what we’ve made a name for ourselves for regardless of the outcome here. It’s not the be-all teachend-all by any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly is a nice pat on the back to those aforementioned. My praise only goes so far, unfortunately, teachI’d only write this if I truly believed that they deserved a little more.

If you believe Esports Insider deserves a nomination for esports coverage website of the year, please know it would be appreciated. If you don’t, then thank you for reading this all the same. You can nominabestsor whichever publication you feel deserves it best here.
